I would just like to say, I think people with messy houses have way more fun! (even if they feel like they are a hairs breath away from crazy while they do it.)

The Story of taking pictures of small children...and some spring colours.

So, I had a little photo shoot with the girls to show off some spring colors. I've realize with those two I might, emphasis MIGHT,  get 1 good shot in 20...

Hair Cut!

When I was pregnant my hair was really long and it was great because I didn't feel like doing it. Then I had a baby, and I still didn't feel like doing it, plus it was almost long enough to donate. Then it all started fall out because that is one of the many joys of being post partum. So I finally cut it. 2, 12 inch pony's for Angel Hair for Kids. I'm all over storyboard templates lately so here's a little before and after:

Excuse the self photography, my husband has a knack for making me look really awful in pictures. So far I'm loving it!

Reinventing Breakfast...

I will admit, since high school I've been a terrible breakfast eater. The only time I eat breakfast is after a night shift, before I go to bed...so does that REALLY count???

I decide that a good granola I could do and I found this recipe for Dark Chocolate Granola. I used Coconut oil instead of Canola oil and left out the coconut because I didn't have any and don't like it.

It was so good! I've had probably 3 bowls a day and now I have to make more. It satisfy's my craving for chocolate and it's dark so I don't feel too bad. I figure if I'm going to eat the chocolate anyway I may as well get some healthy stuff in along with it!

Along with my breakfast theme I thought I would share my newest purchase from Etsy because I LOVE it! I've been in the market for a new coffee cup for awhile...My plastic one from starbucks has had a broken handle since about a week after I bought it 2 a couple years ago....I recently also discovered it was growing mold in the lining....Eww! I really like pottery but hadn't seen any that would work as good travel mugs. (I do have to go back to my real job soon which involves night shifts and transporting coffee in my car) Then I saw this:

I'm enjoying my first cup of tea and it's perfect! (especially the "can wash in dishwasher" bit....) now I might have to go have some granola for dinner with it!

Handmade Valentines...

Oh how things come back to bite me....I remember as a kid being mad that my mom wouldn't let us (and by us I mean her) buy commercial valentines...I guess I was successfully indoctrinated, despite my protests, because my daughter marched proudly, (actually I don't think she really cared) today to preschool with....gasp....handmade cards!

I wonder if it's good my mom pressed on because now I like handmade valentines, or if she should have let me come to that conclusion on my own? Would I have? Gee, It's so reassuring to know in 20 yrs my daughter is going to be remembering the things I inflict on her today. sigh.

Oh well, we had fun making them together and to me that's what counts, and I in my biased opinion think they are very cute:

She also received some very cute commercial once and is enjoying inhaling all the candy..(Candy?!? What happened to valentines CARDS...it feels like Halloween over here!)

Snow Day!

Not much to say today, but that I will be staying inside...because it is very cold out and snowy. I have had my coffee, therefore it is now time for dishes and hat making, some photo editing....and perhaps a bit of vacuuming and yarn organizing:

Let's Do 52!

So I stumbled up this website Paint the Moon, I'm not even sure how....but though this project sounded like fun.

If I want to invest money in things like cameras and actions, I figured I should start by first improving my photography and creativity with what I have. I'm a little behind for the year so far, but hear is my first.

The challenge was perspective and using different angles. I can't get great pictures of a busy 3 year olds unless we are in the sun(and we certainly haven't had any of that around here lately), because my flash is so slow,  so I caught a few of T passed out on the floor...

Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with weekly pictures and catch up...if not it's a lot of fun anyway! Wanna join us? Let's do 52 on flicker or on Paint the Moon's blog. I'll be posting as many picture as I can here so we'll see how it goes!
